It consists of 235,214 acres inRoutt National Forest and in White River National Forest stretching from Dotsero to Meeker, CO.  It was designated a wilderness area in 1975.

The ranch is a self-sustaining ranch inclusive of 1,200 pair of cattle and calves; over 24,000 acres of leases for grazing permits; 2,000 acres of flood irrigation plus 1,200 acres irrigated by pivot irrigation systems (which is rare in the mountains) and produces 3,500 tons of hay annually. The price includes livestock and equipment as well as seven residences and additional cabins.
